Management Style

We fully engage ourselves in the “Team-Build” process, bringing a solution-oriented, win/win mindset to all of our projects, regardless of the regulatory hurdle or construction challenge presented.  The “Team-Build” process fosters trust and allows for open and honest communication.  This serves to produce a team that is highly effective in reaching the goals of the client.

Quality Labor Force

We enjoy the benefits of a large, highly skilled labor pool. Our site superintendents, carpenters, and laborers provide the highest level of quality on every project.  MSB Construction goes to great lengths to ensure that the quality of our subcontractor/supplier team members are able to produce quality work, are strong financially and meet commitments during and after construction.

Management Staff

Brad Davis was named president in 2023.  He joined MSB Construction in 2010 after beginning his construction career in 2006.  Prior employment in the construction industry includes gutter, siding, home remodeling, and estimating, as well as insurance adjusting.  Brad continues to serve as a Project Manager and the company’s Safety Manager.  Brad graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2008 with a BA, Entrepreneurship.

Rodney Neilson has been with MSB Construction since 1991, beginning in the field, then to his present position of Project Manager.  Prior employment in the construction industry consisted of quality control and supervision.  Present responsibilities consist of estimating projects, purchasing materials and delivery of same, scheduling subcontractors work, negotiating contracts, job cost control, working with owners and architects and managing projects.

Jeff Straka joined the MSB team in 2020 as a Project Manager. He has worked in the construction field since 2006 and started his career working for a disaster restoration company. He worked in the field removing and replacing damaged ceiling, walls, floors, ect. He then transitioned into project management and estimating. Next, he took a job with a flooring contractor as a project manager for several years before joining MSB as a PM. Jeff is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a BA in Entrepreneurship.

Mike Davis was president of MSB from 2004-2022 and has since transitioned into a consulting role. Mike is a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Mike worked for several larger companies before purchasing MSB in 2004. Mike holds several patens and enjoys design projects and problem solving.

 Safety

As a result of our quality control efforts with our employees and our subcontractors, we have achieved a history of having one of the industry’s highest safety records with an L & I Experience Factor well below industry standard. Each site is kept clean and free of debris that not only looks professional, eliminates many of the opportunities for accidents.
